Van Purchase Expands Landscaping Program
Grant Date:
October 2024
Grant Value:
$50,000

The mission of REACH, Inc. is to provide productive work, rehabilitation, and training for people with disabilities and other barriers to employment. For over five decades, REACH Inc. has supported more than one thousand individuals with disabilities in rural Klamath County, offering a range of programs that include soft skills training, business development courses, employment services and paid opportunities. They strive to equip individuals with the tools they need to thrive in the workplace and in their day-to-day lives.

The Landscaping Program is a vital part of those services, allowing participants to earn income and learn transferable skills. Participants work in groups of eight with a job coach to provide landscaping services such as fall clean-up, ice removal, planting, mulch installation and customized projects. These services benefit the community by enhancing property safety, cleanliness, and street appeal. The addition of a new van will enable REACH to serve an additional 20 individuals and at least 6 more businesses annually. The expansion will allow approximately 500 more landscaping jobs each year.

The JTMF Foundation is proud to work with REACH and help them expand their services with a new van purchase.
