American Corporate Partners uses an individualized mentorship program to help veteran’s and active-duty spouses navigate career transitions to meaningful employment.
American Corporate Partners (ACP) - Pacific Northwest
American Corporate Partners (ACP) is a national nonprofit that combats underemployment in the military community serving two groups - veterans and active-duty spouses. These participants (Protégés) are paired with industry professionals from some of America's top corporations for a free one-on-one year-long mentorship. Each mentor provides guidance and assistance in achieving the Protégés unique career goals through discussion around career exploration, resume’ writing, networking, and successful job acclimation. This extensive mentorship is expertly facilitated by dedicated Operations Associates, ensuring a meaningful and impactful journey for both Mentors and Protégés. To date, more than 36,000 Protégés have completed the mentorship program since 2008 and are now ACP Alumni.
The Pacific Northwest is home to a diverse group of veterans, many of whom face challenges in translating their military experience into civilian career opportunities. Recognizing this, ACP, along with financial support from the JTMF Foundation, is expanding local access to its one-on-one mentoring programs to empower veterans in their job searches.
ACP’s programs are not only helping individual veterans build a brighter future but also strengthening local communities. The JTMF Foundation is excited to offer our support of the work being done by ACP and ultimately those who have served our nation.
