GiGi's Playhouse - Portland, OR

GiGi's Playhouse was founded twenty years ago to change the way the world views Down Syndrome and to provide free programs to help individuals achieve their highest potential. Over those twenty years GiGi’s programs (prenatal, childhood, teen and adult-focused) have helped families experiencing autism, cerebral palsy, brain injuries and other conditions as well. Physical therapies, speech therapies, math and literacy tutoring, and career programs have changed lives by allowing individuals, who a generation ago may have been institutionalized, to live, play, work and learn. Last year 58 GiGi’s Playhouse locations around the US and Mexico served 30,000+ families with over 200,000 free program hours.

Gigi’s Playhouse Portland will be the first GiGi’s location in the Northwest, providing free programming to all at the new achievement center. With over 1,000 families in the area affected by Down syndrome and many individuals with other conditions that include physical and intellectual development challenges, GiGi’s will be making a difference in the lives of many.

The much anticipated Gigi’s Playhouse is expected to open in the summer of 2024. The JTMF Foundation is excited to partner with GiGi’s Playhouse and assist in bringing an achievement center to the Portland area.
